Who We Are
Pinebrook is a 120-bed, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. We offer a wide range of post-acute care, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and other specialty medical services. We have a special Alzheimer's care unit called the Avalon Wing. And we provide hospice-related services (in partnership with a licensed hospice organization) and respite-care services (for people whose primary, at-home caregiver is temporarily unavailable).
Pinebrook has been part of the Venice, Florida, community for over 17 years. During that time, we've established a tradition of innovation with initiatives like our Elegance in Dining program. We're proud of our high number of longtime staff members, who provide continuity of care and help create a true family feeling among staff and residents alike. This combination of loyal staff and innovative management has really paid off: We're particularly proud to have been honored by the Florida Health Care Association with a Decade of Excellence Award, recognizing more than 10 consecutive years of superior performance. And we're there whenever you need us, accepting admissions 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide high-quality, cost-effective rehabilitation and nursing services to our patients and residents. We work to achieve the optimum medical and social results for each person to whom we provide care.
Our Care and Services
How We Provide Care
We have nurses on duty 24 hours a day, and our medical director is always on call. We provide rehabilitation services six days a week—or more often if ordered by a physician.
Our interdisciplinary team of professionals—nurses, rehabilitation therapists, dietitian, social worker, activities director, and others—determines the care each resident needs and how to provide it. Our residents play an important role in planning their care, too.
We work with our short-term rehabilitation patients to set reasonable recovery goals, based on their specific medical condition and personal needs. Our focus is on helping them become more knowledgeable about their condition, more actively involved in their own healthcare, and more independent in performing daily activities.
For extended-stay residents, we provide skilled nursing services and assistance with the activities of daily living. We’ve created a caring, safe, and supportive environment and offer a diverse and engaging lineup of social and recreational activities. Our goal is to foster a sense of family, connection, and community.
