Sunnyside Health Center is part of the Sunnyside Village Community, sponsored by the Sarasota area Mennonite churches. Since its opening, Sunnyside has been a recognized leader among Sarasota's providers of housing and healthcare for persons age 55 and older.
Seniors may need a licensed, skilled care facility. The Sunnyside Health Center at Sunnyside Village has been recognized as one of the finest providers of Comprehensive Nursing Care in the region for 33 years. Residents of Sunnyside Health Care receive around-the-clock nursing care with dignity and understanding from a professional staff dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of every resident.
Comprehensive Nursing Care
A team of senior health care professionals, under the supervision of a full-time RN Director of Nursing Services, provides attentive, personalized care designed to meet the specific needs of each individual. The care is backed by a commitment to exemplary, professional standards of service and skill.
This level of care enables the Sunnyside Health Center residents to experience a greater sense of well-being, functionality, and self-esteem. The residents receive 24 hour supervised care backed up by an emergency call system.
Total Plan of Comprehensive Care
Private or semi-private rooms are available, complete with safety-designed private baths and laundry service. Three meals are served in the dining room daily with special nutritional consideration of a licensed dietician. Planned recreational, religious, social, and leisure activities are available to the residents of Sunnyside Health Center. Social services and a Chaplain are also available.
Sunnyside Health Center offers optional services for its residents. For an additional fee, special services, such as optometry, podiatry, and dental care are available. Other optional services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy; medication and personal supplies; beautician and barber services; and transportation to medical appointments.
